Our Laser Optimum Crime Application For Recovery & Detection (LOCARD) is based on Dr. Edmond LOCARD’s exchange principle in forensic science, that holds that the perpetrator of a crime will bring something to the crime scene and will leave with something from it - EVERY CONTACT LEAVES A TRACE.
The LOCARD Laser Imaging System is a highly portable and effective biological physical evidence discovery device. It is specifically designed and developed for the targeted discovery of potential biological trace evidence, directly locating and storing evidential images.
Using multiple excitation spectra combined with new imaging technology, the LOCARD detects potential biological physical evidence on conventional samples, as well as more difficult samples that cannot be detected by current light sources, including laser light sources. For example. it can detect sweat stains, saliva stainsand semen stains on complex backgrounds, significantly improving the detection and extraction rate of biological physical evidence.
Through customized microscopic imaging technology, it can directly detect trace biological tissue debris such as cell clusters at the cellular level that are invisible to the naked eye.
